Commerce Public Schools will hold its annual EL Parents/Stakeholders meeting on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at 4:30 pm in the elementary school cafeteria. All parents and family members of EL students, as well as interested community members are invited to attend. We will discuss our EL program, disseminate EL activity information, and hold a time for questions and answers.
Our district selection for the College & Career Readiness Assessment to be administered to all grade 11 students during the OSTP testing window is the ACT. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Barker or a school counselor at 918-675-4343.

A fiber cut in North Miami last night has left all of our schools without phone or internet today. Crews are dispatched but it will take a few hours to make the needed repairs.
Commerce Football 2019 Is Upon Us!!!! Here is our upcoming schedule-
August 12th @ 3:30-5 6-12th grade combine.
August 12th @ 7:15 6-12th grade football parent meeting at the high school gym.
August 12th @ 8:00 High school football players meeting in locker room.
August 13th @ 3:30 high school practice helmets only.
August 14th is the first day of school and we'll start normal 7th hour practices that day.
Middle school (6th-8th grade) will start practice when school begins.
All parents please attend the parent meeting on the 12th. We scheduled it right after open houses for your convenience.

Once your 6th-12th grade students are registered for school you can register them for the sports they'd like to play in the upcoming school year. If you have issues/questions feel free to call FamilyID support at 888.800.5583 and they'll be glad to help you get your registrations complete.
Commerce 6-12th grade athletic drug testing is tomorrow, August 1st.
Girls 10-1130 and Boys 1130-1.
Cost is $10. Parents must have familyid.com registration complete.
Question: If I have my own chromebook can I bring it to school and use it instead of renting one of the schools?
Answer: Yes, but you have to allow the school to install GoGuardian for content filtering. GoGuardian filters internet at school and at home both.
Early Chromebook Checkout will be August 6th & 7th from 9-12 and 1-3 each day. CMS and CHS both will have early checkout those days. FamilyID registration must be completed and your $25 must be paid to the office before you can receive your chromebook.
Drug Testing - August 1st Girls 10-1130 and Boys 1130-1. If you're drug testing you must have your enrollment in FamilyID completed before testing. School and Athletic registrations both must be complete!

Commerce TSA - It's a been a busy two days. We left for the National Conference in Washington DC Tuesday. Today we start our adventures in Baltimore.
The OSSAA has approved a new policy instituting a summer dead period from June 29th -July 7th.
During this time:
- All athletes may not use the school's athletic facilities.
- Contact between coaches, assistant coaches and sponsors is prohibited.
OSSAA Mandatory Dead Period is from Saturday, June 29th - Sunday July 7th. Summer workouts will continue on July 8th. Have a Safe and Happy 4th of July!
