BREAKING NEWS: The roads are once again slush and ice, and tomorrow’s temps will turn them into an ice rink. So yes, Commerce Public Schools will be closed on Thursday, February 13… again. Please direct all complaints to winter itself. We’re over it too. Just to clarify, tomorrow will not be a virtual day. The high school basketball games vs. Jay originally scheduled for Thursday night have been moved to Saturday—JV at 11 a.m. and Varsity at 1 p.m. And before my staff calls me out for this boring announcement—I’ll just lay the golden fiddle at the feet of Bixby’s superintendent. I know when I’ve been beat

Weather Update & Schedule Changes Due to the weather, the FAFSA workshop originally scheduled for tonight has been rescheduled for Thursday night to ensure safe travel for our presenter. Parent-Teacher Conferences will still take place tonight from 3:30pm-6:30pm as scheduled for all school sites. After closely monitoring the forecast, Commerce Public Schools will be closed tomorrow for a snow day, we will not be virtual due to expected snow, ice, and hazardous travel conditions. Elementary school Valentine’s Day parties, originally planned for tomorrow, will be rescheduled for the next day we are in school. Stay safe, and we’ll provide any further updates as needed!

Attention Commerce Families: We’re seeing an increase in illnesses among our students. Please remember, students must be fever-free for 24 hours without the use of medication (like Tylenol or Ibuprofen) before returning to school. This helps prevent the spread of illness and keeps everyone healthier. Our schools are working hard to fog and disinfect classrooms and common areas, but we need your help. Please do not send sick students to school. Together, we can keep our students and staff safe and healthy. Thank you for your cooperation!
