2022 CMS/CHS Band/Choir Concert CHS Gym Dec. 15, 2022 - 7pm

Thirty of our students were able to start their Christmas a little brighter today. The Quapaw Nation Marshal Service, Miami Nation Police, Commerce Police Department and Commerce School staff took the students to Wal-Mart and gave them the opportunity to make their season a little more merry and bright. A BIG THANK YOU goes out to the Quapaw Nation leadership, Downstream and Quapaw Casino for their donations that made this possible. The Quapaw Nation has been a tremendous help to Commerce Schools and this is just one more thing they have done to benefit our students. We are very blessed to have them as partners. We also want to give special thanks to our staff for their assistance in putting this event together. A special thanks to our high school NHS, STUCO and senior students for assisting with shopping and for wrapping the roughly 300 gifts. Another Big Thank You to Wal-Mart manager Chuck Stotts and his staff for all their help and for serving the students drinks and cookies! QNMS School Resource Officers Bradd McMinn and John Millard did a fantastic job coordinating such a great event!

Commerce High School NHS Christmas Movie Night The Polar Express MONDAY, DECEMBER 5, 2022 Doors Open: 5:45 pm Movie Begins: 6:00 pm Location: CHS Gym Admission: A stuffed animal or $3 Hot chocolate and popcorn available $1 Wear your PJ'S and bring your pillows and blankets!

Did you know? CHS has an eSports team!!! 2022-2023 is CHS's 1st Year Competing in eSports The Oklahoma Scholastic eSports team that Commerce competes in has over 55 schools competing. The Rainbow Six team has made it to the Oklahoma Scholastic Esports League State Championship Tournament. Only the top 8 teams in the league make it this far. The state tournament will be hosted in Clinton, OK on Dec 16 and 17, 2022. The R6 team plays on Saturday the 17th. Two of Commerce's three playoff matches were won in overtime and were very competitive and quite well played. Go Tigers!

The CHS National Honor Society is hosting a POLAR EXPRESS night at the CHS gym on Monday, December 5th. Admission is a stuffed animal which will then be given to others for Christmas. We will also accept a $3 cash donation. Doors open at 5:45 Movie at 6:00 Bring your blankets and wear your PJS. We will have a conductor to punch your ticket! You will receive a Christmas Spirit Bell and a Photo booth is available! Popcorn and hot chocolate available for $1.00. The NHS kids have fond memories of the polar express days they had at AES and want to recreate this as a community event. Bring your family or anyone to help support these high school students and their vision of a good wholesome community gathering.

The Ottawa County Health Department will be hosting a vaccine clinic on December 8, 2022 from 10am to 2pm at the First Baptist Church in Commerce for anyone interested. Please see flyer for further details.

Online tickets must be accessible on a cell phone at the gate, screenshots will not be allowed. There will also be a cash option and OSSAA has set that price at $10 per ticket. The game will only be livestreamed on the NFHS Network. You do have to subscribe to watch and it is $11.99/month with an option to cancel any time. It's Game Day!!! We will have a send off going down Commerce Ave at 1:15pm today. Show up, Be Loud, and cheer on these boys. Game time is 7:00pm in Pocola. GO TIGERS!!!!!

Pocola only has one ticket gate located on the east side of the stadium. Since it is Veteran's Day, the OSSAA will honor all veterans, plus one guest, with free admission. Dear Club Comet parents, Due to the number of buses and drivers needed for Friday's playoff game in Pocola, we will not have a bus for Club Comet on Friday, November 11. We will have Club Comet, as normal, but there will be no bus route. If your child rides the Club Comet bus, please make arrangements to have them ride the bus after school or to pick them up from Club Comet by 5:30 pm. Thanks for your understanding.
