CMS Basketball Schedule Change - There will now be 4 games(7th Girls, 7th Boys, 8th Girls and 8th Boys) at Afton on Monday Night, Dec 11th starting at 4:30 pm. Through our partnership with VarsityTutors for Schools, Commerce students can now use 24/7 On-Demand Chat Tutoring. When help is needed, connect with a highly qualified expert tutor, day or night. Learning has never been more flexible! This service is available free on all students Chromebook in their clever home page. All students accounts are ready to go!

As part of their career education, students in Mrs. Stebbins' Technology & Engineering Education classes listened to a guest speaker yesterday. Mr. Stebbins discussed careers and opportunities in the safety field, as well as the education and training required for those careers. In addition to the safety opportunities available, Chris also talked about the engineering opportunities in his company. Mr. Stebbins is a Board Certified Safety Professional and has worked in the explosives industry for 16 years. Chris works for Orica, the world's leading mining and infrastructure solutions provider, specializing in the production and supply of explosives, blasting systems and geotechnical monitoring.

This Wednesday, December 6, 2023, will be our fourth Way 2 Go Wednesday. Students with 1 or fewer absences in the previous month and All A's and B's qualify for the OPTION of doing their work virtually on the first Wednesday of each month. Middle School Students who qualified for December will receive a note to take home to parents. We are VERY EXCITED to announce a new service available to all Commerce Public Schools students. Our students now have access to a great new service made available by the Oklahoma State Department of Education. Varsity Tutors offers 24/7 On Demand Tutoring and all of our students now have access to this great resource in their clever portal on their chromebooks. School Photo Day is tomorrow, October 3rd. Reminder, all school photos will be taken at all school sites tomorrow. Senior panel pictures will also be taken at CHS.

Due to increased costs for officials Commerce Public Schools is adjusting the entry price for all athletic events. All tickets will now be $5 for entry for adults and students. This will take effect immediately.

The City of Commerce is currently without power. Liberty utilities has told us they expect the power to be back on within the hour. With that in mind the current plan is to have school as usual today.

Middle School Football wins at Afton 28-6. Go Tigers!!

In an effort to reward students who demonstrate hard work in the classroom and dedication to attendance, Commerce Middle School and Commerce High School have begun an incentive program based on attendance and grades. Each month we will reward students who have no grades below a B in all of their classes and no more than 1 absence with a “virtual” school day on the first Wednesday of the month. Letters are being sent home with CMS students and an email is being sent to all CHS students and parents that qualify. Tomorrow is our first Way To Go Wednesday!
