🐯 HOMECOMING PARADE UPDATE 🐯
This year’s Homecoming Parade will feature our Homecoming attendants as we celebrate the students representing their classes and organizations.
Class float participation has not materialized the way we would have liked, so we are trying something new this year with an attendant-focused parade. We look forward to celebrating our Homecoming attendants and creating a special experience for our students, staff, and families.
Homecoming attendant pictures will be taken at 1:00 PM in the CHS Gym. Following pictures, the attendants will travel to Alexander Elementary to begin the parade. This schedule will allow elementary and middle school students to see the attendants, while also giving parents the opportunity to take photos along the parade route wherever they would like.
The parade will begin at 2:15 PM at the corner of 6th street and Mimosa Lane, east of Alexander Elementary. The attendants will travel west in front of the elementary school, turn onto Cherry Street, pass Commerce Middle School, and continue to Commerce High School.
Following the parade, students will gather in the CHS Gym for the Homecoming assembly and announcements.
The Homecoming Coronation will begin at 6:30 PM on the football field. The football game vs Oklahoma Union will kickoff at 7pm.
We encourage students, staff, and families to come out along the route, show your Tiger Pride, and help us celebrate our Homecoming attendants!
Go Tigers!🐯💙

Dear Commerce Tiger Families,
Commerce Public Schools is aware of a social media post circulating today that includes nearly all Oklahoma schools and communities. Similar posts and lists are circulating widely across Oklahoma and in several other states as part of a viral social media trend.
Our School Resource Officer is aware of the post and has reported it to the Oklahoma Counter Terrorism Intelligence Center (OCTIC), commonly referred to as the Oklahoma Fusion Center. We will continue to work closely with law enforcement and monitor the situation.
At this time, we have received no information indicating a specific or credible threat directed toward Commerce Public Schools. School will continue as normal, with our regular safety and security procedures in place.
We ask parents to talk with their students about the serious nature of creating, sharing, or reposting threatening content, even when it is associated with a social media trend or intended as a joke. These posts can create unnecessary fear, disrupt schools, and result in serious consequences.
As always, the safety of our students and staff is our highest priority. If we receive information indicating a specific threat to our schools or requiring any change in school operations, we will communicate that information directly with our families.
Thank you for your continued support of Commerce Public Schools.
