Parents - All 8th-11th grade students received instructions for completing their 2020-2021 school year course requests in their email today. Please assist us in getting them completed by the end of the day on Friday - 04/10/20. Thank You!

Parents your students were emailed a list of zoom links for their teachers virtual office hours yesterday. All teachers will be available every morning from 9am-11am, for video conference and other times by appointment. High School teachers will also be available 1pm-3pm. If you have a question or would like to speak with a teacher please use this available service. If you would like a copy of the links for yourself please email me at smoss@commercetigers.net and I will send it to you.

I am reminding you that Commerce Public Schools will begin our distance learning program tomorrow and continue through Friday, May 8th. For students that do not have internet access at home, learning packets may be picked up at the school tomorrow from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Parents and Students - If you're participating in the zoom try out today, 4/4/2020, from 1:00-2:30 please go to the students school email to get the link. Zoom changed some security settings since my message yesterday and they now require passwords for meetings. The link I sent everyone in their email has the password included. Just click the link and you'll be directed to the meeting tryout.

Parents and Students - There will be one last zoom meeting trial window from 1:00-2:30 pm on Saturday, April 4th. If you have not tried your student Chromebook or home device and want to before Monday, please take advantage of this time. It is short, come and go, if you can see and hear me on Zoom when you arrive you're good to go for Monday. You can click around in zoom to become familiar with it and then leave. If you have issues we can work through them at that time. If you have issues and can't talk to me on zoom you can phone my cell at 918-541-0933.

Dear Parents, Please ask your child(ren) to be respectful of our Child Nutrition Staff, themselves, and others by practicing social distancing and staying 6 feet apart while picking up their meals at the drop-off points. Thank you!

Coach Moss will be having virtual office hours from 1:30-2:30 today, April 1, 2020, in Zoom. This is for students to try out their chromebook or home device and make sure they're able to access their teachers using zoom next week. Please reboot your chromebook before trying.
It is not required, but a chance to make sure it's working well for you. If you tried it yesterday there is no need to go again today. Here is the link - https://zoom.us/j/7846646553

I was asked if young men have to wear a tuxedo to the Jr.-Sr. Prom. Even though it is a formal affair, tuxedos are not required.

Students/Parents - I will have a zoom virtual office open from 2 pm to 3 pm today if you would like to come in and see if your chromebook is ready to go for next week. Go to this link to try-

Dear Students and Parents,
I know we are in trying times and the uncertainty is making us anxious. The staff is working this week preparing for distance learning. Teachers will be reaching out to make contact with families later in the week. Distance learning will begin next Monday, April 6, 2020 and continue through the end of the school year on May 8, 2020. At this time the Jr.-Sr. Prom has been rescheduled for May 15, 2020. Alternate plans for graduation are under discussion. Please feel free to contact us as needed.
Sincerely,
Jim Haynes, Superintendent
