Alexander Elementary is so thankful for November’s Students of the Month. On the left is Natalie Kocina. Natalie is in Mrs. Earll’s third grade class. Her parents are Chris and Jackie Kocina. Next to Natalie in Mrs. Sharp”s first grade class is Isabella Lacy. Isabella”s parents are Andrew and Kaitlynn Lacy. Congratulations to you both!

Veteran's Day Assemblies Thursday, November 11th Commerce High School - 10 am Alexander Elementary School - 1:30 pm

Hello Parents/Guardians, Just a reminder about our Veteran's Day Assembly tomorrow at 1:30pm in the AES gym. Parents and Veterans are welcome to attend. 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students will perform. If you can't make it in person, there will also be a Google meets link (web cam) posted tomorrow morning on the "Alexander Elementary PFC Official Group" Facebook page. Thank you.

If you are a veteran, either active duty, retired, reserve or national guard, the OSSAA and Commerce Pubic Schools would like to invite you to attend our first round football playoff game vs Pawnee for free this weekend! The OSSAA and Commerce Schools appreciates the sacrifices of all veterans, and hopes you will take advantage of this opportunity. Simply show your Military ID card, or driver’s license that shows your military status at the gate on Friday, and you and a guest will be admitted free of charge. In addition, thanks to anonymous donations, the first 76 veterans will receive a $5 card for redemption at the concession stand.

Last week the honor choir was not able to sing at the Veterans Hunt Kick Off ceremony in downtown Miami due to inclement weather. Hello Parents/Guardians, It's going to be too wet/cold/windy to have the parade back around the ball field tomorrow (Friday), so.....we will have parents gather in the gym and classes will come over one at a time, circle the gym, and stop for a group photo. We'll start at 1:30 pm and should last around 30 minutes. There will also be a Google meets link (web cam) posted on the "Alexander Elementary PFC Official Group" Facebook page. Thank you.

Hello Parents/Guardians, We will have a Halloween Parade this Friday @ 1:30pm behind the elementary school. The road to the back baseball field will be closed, so please park in front and walk to the baseball field. The side gates, on the east and west sides of the main building will be unlocked and open (Please see the attached map). Also, no parents at the parties please. Thank you.

Parents/Guardians, This week is Support Personnel Week. We will be celebrating their efforts with gifts, goodies, and food. We would like to thank all of our dedicated Support Staff who go above and beyond for the students at Alexander Elementary! We appreciate each and every one of you!

Commerce Families, We are happy to report our numbers after 9 full weeks of in-person instruction. As of 10/17/21, we currently have ZERO COVID-19 positive cases at all sites for both students and staff. Go Tigers!

Fall break is scheduled for Thursday, October 14th and Friday, October 15th. There will be no school and the school offices will be closed. Please enjoy the break and be safe.

Fall is finally here, and so are Alexander Elementary’s October Students of the Month. On the left is Kayden Mills. Kayden is in Mrs. Darr’s Pre-K class. His aunt is Charley Pedrino. Next to Kayden is Jensen Crosby. Jensen is in Mrs. Ogle’s kindergarten class. His parents are Justin Crosby and LaDonna Murphy. Congratulations to both of you!
