The Commerce Police Department has asked us to not use North Cherry Street as a pick-up/drop-off location due to traffic congestion and blocking driveways. Please use 6th Street or the gravel parking lot to drop-off or pick-up children. Thank you.
To end our Read Across America Week, we had a Read-A-Thon today where we gave the students a goal to read 1,000 books! Our students did not surprise us by surpassing that goal by reading 1,320 books!! It is important for you to know that they also passed the A/R test on all of them!!! Go Tigers!!!! Mr. Brough better get ready because the students will be taping him to the wall in the next few days!
Also, we just happened to see these "characters" coming in this morning! What a fun day we had and our kids did a great job dressing up as their favorite book character!
We are currently taking orders for the 2021-22 yearbook. The price is $35. You can order online at yearbookforever.com. You can also order through your school secretary at the elementary and middle school or Mrs. Rhodes at the high school.

Congratulations to March's marvelous Students of the Month at Alexander Elementary. On the left is Draven Tagg-Pattengill who is in Mrs. Wall's kindergarten class. Draven's mom is Bobbie Tagg. Next to Draven is Izabella Moss. She is in Mrs. McWhorter's first grade class . Izabella's mom is Brandi Moss. We are so proud of you both!

Unfortunately the road conditions are forcing us to cancel classes for Friday, February 25th. This will be a snow day and NOT A VIRTUAL INSTRUCTION DAY. We have adjusted the school calendar for everyone's information. Please stay safe and warm. We look forward to seeing our students in school on Monday, February 28th.
Weather cancellation - Due to the threat of continued inclement weather, Commerce Public Schools will be canceled Thursday, February 24th. This will be a snow day and NOT A VIRTUAL INSTRUCTION DAY. This is our last built in snow day for the 2021-2022 school calendar. We will be forced to move to virtual or add days on if any more weather issues arise. Please stay safe and warm. We hope to see students in school on Friday, February 25th.
I am sad to report that due to the threat of inclement weather, Commerce Public Schools will be canceled February 23, 2022. This will be a snow day and NOT A VIRTUAL INSTRUCTION DAY. Parent-Teacher conferences are still on for this evening from 3:30-6:30 and we hope to see all parents there.
Hello Parents/Guardians, Our Spring Red Wheel Fundraiser ends this Friday, February 25th. For every 5 items a student sells, they will have a chance to win a Razor Power Core E90 (electric scooter). Club Comet will not be held after school on Tuesday, March 22nd. Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held that day from 3:30-6:30.
Please Remember - Commerce Schools will be not be in session on Friday, February 18th(Scheduled off for PTC) and Monday, February 21st(Presidents' Day). We will have Parent Teacher Conferences from 3:30pm-6:30pm on Tuesday, February 22nd.
